Keystone Technologies has expanded the capabilities and reach of its SmartLoop wireless lighting controls platform with the introduction of two new products: the Advanta with SmartLoop PIR commercial downlight and the SmartLoop Emergency Controller.

The new products support a common goal: making intelligent lighting control easier to implement across a wider range of commercial projects.

Advanta with SmartLoop brings integrated wireless controls to Keystone’s established Advanta commercial downlight family. The fixture, available in 4″, 6″, 8″, and 10″ sizes, combines an integrated FC7 SmartLoop sensor with Power Select, app-based Color Select (allowing for tunable white), occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, dim-to-off performance, and wireless commissioning.

A notable advantage is that the integrated FC7 sensor ships with occupancy-sensing functionality enabled by default, allowing the fixture to provide sensor-based energy savings even when a SmartLoop wireless control network is not being used. Customers can simply install the fixture and benefit from occupancy control out of the box, then unlock advanced capabilities through the SmartLoop app whenever project requirements call for deeper commissioning, grouping, tunable white control, or daylight harvesting.

Meanwhile, the SmartLoop Emergency Controller extends SmartLoop into emergency lighting applications that rely on centralized backup power systems such as generators, inverters, or UPS systems. During a power interruption, the controller communicates with SmartLoop-enabled fixtures and forces them to their designated emergency output levels, helping facilities maintain required illumination and supporting UL 924 emergency lighting compliance.

The Emergency Controller addresses a critical challenge for networked controls systems. It enables customers to maintain their controls strategy while meeting UL 924 emergency lighting requirements. Without emergency control integration, fixtures could continue operating according to occupancy settings during a power-loss event rather than providing the illumination required for emergency egress.

The launches also continue Keystone’s effort to deliver a more complete SmartLoop offering across an entire facility. With SmartLoop now integrated into downlights and enhanced for emergency lighting applications, contractors, distributors, ESCOs, facility owners, and specifiers can deploy a single wireless controls platform across more fixture types and project conditions. The Advanta with SmartLoop PIR and SmartLoop Emergency Controller are the latest examples of Keystone’s dedication to Light Made Easy®.
