Keystone Technologies Supplies LED Tubes to United Nations Building

MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA: December 16, 2015 – The United Nations Headquarters in New York City recently took action to reduce their carbon footprint by upgrading to energy efficient LED lighting. Keystone Technologies got the call for the interior lighting project that required 5,000 LED tubes.

The UN selected tubes with Keystone’s Direct Drive technology, which bypasses the ballast and uses line voltage connected directly to the lamp sockets. “With Direct Drive tubes, the UN can expect to save 40% or more on energy usage,” said Josh Brown, VP of Distributor Sales. “We were also able to help them save money upfront by dramatically cutting down on installation time with Keystone’s innovative wiring harness designed for LED tubes.”

Keystone’s shatterproof lamp construction was another important feature for decision makers. These specially coated tubes offer the superior light distribution of glass, but the safety of plastic construction.

According to Ira Greenberg, CEO of Keystone, “This was a huge project for the UN, in terms of both scope and expense. Our products ranked first in comparison testing of LED lamps from several manufacturers. We earned their confidence right from the start for this important installation.”
