Upgrade fluorescent to LED easily with our UL Type B DirectDrive tubes. The ballast bypass design makes the fixture more reliable and, with the tube’s long life and energy efficiency, saves time and money in maintenance costs. Available in a special 8-foot T8 with Power and Color Select, as 2-foot and 4-foot color-selectable tubes with 5 CCT, and in dedicated versions.
DirectDrive and ballast bypass benefits
DirectDrive is Keystone’s ballast bypass technology. By bypassing the ballast, compatibility isn’t a concern – a Keystone driver is integrated into the lamp and the lamp is directly wired to the power source. Together, these features help save money and reduce energy use.
5 tubes in 1
Cut back on inventory and expand versatility with Keystone’s DirectDrive DX2 UL Type B tubes. Equipped with Color Select technology, they feature five field-selectable color temperatures – 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K, and 6500K – so users can shape the lighting to their needs.
In addition, they offer both single- or double-ended wiring options and utilize both shunted and non-shunted lamp holders. They’re like 5 tubes in 1.
Versatile installation options
Our DirectDrive DX2 UL Type B tubes have both single- and double-ended wiring options and can utilize either shunted (double-ended only) or non-shunted lamp holders, so they’ll fit into a variety of fixture setups.
8-foot CCT T8 tubes
Keystone offers 8-foot Type B T8 lamps equipped with 5 selectable CCT and 3 power outputs. These tubes are available as a single 8-foot tube or two 4-foot sections which can be combined.
Dual usage
Either version of the 8-foot T8 can be used in HO applications using R17d and Fa8 bases. Just add our Cap Adapters over the R17d to convert to Fa8.
T5HE and T5HO
Our HE (high efficiency) and HO (high output) DirectDrive tubes offer easy installation with single-ended wiring, improved efficacy over fluorescents, and save more than 50% energy consumption over legacy tubes. They eliminate the need for multiple expensive ballasts in 6-lamp high bay fixtures.
A full T8 portfolio
Our LED T8 ballast bypass tubes come in a number of styles, including HiCRI, 0-10V dimming, TRIAC/forward-phase dimming, U-bend, and our DirectDrive Emergency Tube, which is fully compliant with UL 924. Lengths run from 18 to 72 inches. All offer substantial energy savings over legacy tubes and their long life saves on maintenance.
UL 924 compliant Emergency Tube
Our DirectDrive Emergency Tube is a true UL 924 Certified emergency tube, providing a comprehensive solution for emergency lighting needs. It features an innovative design that seamlessly incorporates a rechargeable battery into a tube format, ensuring a permanent installation that cannot be easily tampered with or removed accidentally. The tube offers 5 selectable CCT and a 90-minute backup.
